On the day the petition is submitted, we will give the beneficiary a checklist of all the documents needed for the visa interview. We will grant the beneficiary an appointment for the visa interview only once he/she has formally declared that he/she has all the necessary documents for visa issuance (at the time the petition is submitted, a form will be given to the beneficiary to send to us in order to declare his/her readiness for an interview). Please note that the petitioner’s presence is not required at the time of the visa interview; it is only required when submitting the petition. The beneficiary may appear alone at the visa interview.
For all other immigration-related cases, please email us at DJI-CONS-IV@sate.gov, specifying your name and case number if a petition has already been filed for you.
