VISA APPLICATIONS BY NON-DJIBOUTIAN CITIZENS oR RESIDENTS

Applicants from outside this office's consular district may apply for visas. However, if you do not speak English or a language commonly spoken in this country, you should be aware that language difficulties and interviewing officers' unfamiliarity with local conditions in your country may make it more difficult to demonstrate your qualifications for a visa than in your home district or at a post designated for your application..

Please note that many third country nationals are required to pay an additional issuance fee. The fee differs according to the nationality of the applicant and is based on reciprocity between the applicant’s country and the United States.  Please click here for more information.

Citizens of the following countries must appear for an interview, regardless of their age: Cuba, Libya, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.

For details on application procedures, please see the appropriate link on the left that matches the reason of your travel.

Please note that the administrative process for some applicants may take several weeks/months to complete.  Therefore please plan ahead and apply for a visa at least 2 months before your intended date of travel to the United States.
